Folding and storing a pop up canopy tent top may seem like a daunting task, but with the right steps, you can ensure the longevity of your pop up canopy and prevent any damage. Proper care is essential for the durability of your pop up canopy. Here are some comprehensive steps to follow when folding and storing your pop up canopy:

  • Inspect Your Pop Up Canopy: Before you start folding your pop up canopy, make sure you check for any visible damage, stains, or dirt. Cleaning your canopy top ensures that it stays in top condition for your next event.

  • Remove Attachments: If you have any accessories attached to your pop up canopy, such as sidewalls or weight bags, be sure to remove them. These attachments can cause damage if left on while folding.

  • Collapsing the Pop Up Canopy Frame: Begin by collapsing the legs of your pop up canopy frame one at a time, working from one corner to the opposite corner. Make sure to handle the frame gently to prevent any bending or damage to the structure.

  • Folding the Canopy Top: Once the frame is collapsed, take the four corners of the pop up canopy top and bring them together. Fold the canopy top inward, smoothing out any wrinkles or creases. Make sure the canopy top is properly aligned and that there are no uneven edges. The video below is a great example for this.

  • Storing the Canopy Top: Place the folded canopy top in the provided storage bag. Make sure it is stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or moisture. Proper storage is crucial to the longevity of your pop up canopy.
